Zodl is a mobile wallet built for shielded Zcash, designed to bring private, self-custodial digital money to a mainstream audience. The app emphasizes privacy by default, self-custody of funds, and informed user consent, hiding blockchain complexity while maintaining strong security and privacy guarantees. Zodl collects no user data, does not track wallet activity, and only uses anonymized crash reports for bug fixing. The product suite includes ZEC-to-ZEC private payments, CrossPay for private cross-chain payments (sending shielded ZEC while recipients receive BTC or stablecoins), built-in private swaps powered by NEAR Intents, cold storage support via the Keystone hardware wallet (the first to support shielded ZEC), real-world retail payments through a Flexa integration at merchants like GameStop, Sheetz, and Chipotle, one-click shielding of transparent ZEC balances, and shielded notes for sending private encrypted messages alongside or independent of transactions. Zodl is built by a team of battle-tested mobile engineers and Zcash core protocol developers, targeting everyday crypto users and Zcash holders who want an easy, low-risk entry into private digital money.
