About the Role
You will monitor campus health signals, classify and escalate incidents, open incident bridges, and provide timely stakeholder updates. You will maintain incident timelines and shift logs, write incident reports, track corrective projects, and improve runbooks, escalation matrices, and communication templates.
Requirements
- Experience in a 24/7 operations environment
- Ability to acknowledge, classify, and escalate incidents under service-level agreements
- Experience running incident bridges and stakeholder updates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pattern recognition across compute, network, storage, or facilities signals
- Experience maintaining and improving operational processes
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Responsibilities
- Monitor designated campus health signals and alarms
- Acknowledge, classify, and log every page within service-level agreements
- Detect, verify, and escalate incidents through the escalation matrix
- Open and run incident bridges
- Provide stakeholder communications and maintain real-time incident timelines
- Prepare first-pass incident framing for technical responders
- Run structured shift handoffs and maintain shift logs
- Write major-incident reports and track corrective projects to closure
- Improve runbooks, escalation matrices, and communications templates
- Participate in SRE-run game days
