About the Role
You will own the end-to-end design, deployment, and operation of production data-center and campus/core networks. You will manage routing and switching standards, qualify network platforms, improve monitoring, troubleshoot network incidents, automate operational tasks, and support cluster build-outs and on-call operations.
Requirements
- Several years of production network design or operations experience
- Hands-on BGP and interior routing protocol experience
- TCP/IP, VLAN, data center overlay, optics, and high-speed Ethernet knowledge
- Production network incident troubleshooting experience
- On-call experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Willingness to work onsite in Palo Alto
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate production data center and campus/core networks
- Own routing and switching configuration standards and changes
- Qualify network platforms, optics, and topologies
- Contribute to architecture and capacity planning
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational documentation
- Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 incidents and deliver lasting fixes
- Automate repetitive network tasks
- Support cluster build-outs and maintenance windows
- Support high-performance network environments
- Participate in on-call rotation
