About the Role
You will support and improve production network infrastructure for HPC AI and machine learning workloads. You will respond to network faults, lead incident management, support the NOC, improve observability, automate operational tasks, maintain network documentation and runbooks, and work with customers to improve reliability and performance.
Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience managing network infrastructure at scale in 24x7 environments
- 2+ years of experience in modern private cloud stack environments
- Understanding of VLANs, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, NSX or similar SDN technologies, routing, switching, and load balancing
- Experience with scripting or programming for automation
- Familiarity with database concepts
Responsibilities
- Support the frontline NOC during work hours and shared off-hours on-call rotations
- Resolve network faults in production infrastructure
- Lead incident management and drive network-impact prevention actions
- Improve network observability and impact-mitigation tooling with NOC and SRE teams
- Automate tasks with development teams
- Create and maintain production network documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Drive automation to reduce toil and extend network observability
- Work with customers to support their use cases, reliability, and performance
- Communicate customer needs to product and platform teams
