About DoubleZero
DoubleZero is a global fiber network for high performance distributed systems and blockchains, bringing high-performance networking and hardware acceleration to crypto. It's not a new L1 or L2, it's the world's first N1. Base layer network infrastructure for distributed systems. DoubleZero is creating the first dedicated physical infrastructure layer for blockchain communication, addressing the fundamental bottleneck that software alone cannot solve. By combining fiber links run by independent contributors with edge filtering hardware in a permissionless network, DoubleZero enables blockchain systems to achieve dramatically higher performance without sacrificing decentralization while maintaining crypto-economic security guarantees. DoubleZero is a permissionless network. Anyone can contribute unused bandwidth, turning isolated links into a unified global fabric. The network grows stronger with each new contributor, mirroring the systems it serves—distributed, resilient, and participant-owned. When decentralized apps run on decentralized infrastructure, DoubleZero can deliver performance without compromising principles.
Skills
About the Role
You will design and operate large-scale, high-availability, low-latency networks. You will work with routing technologies such as BGP, EVPN, MPLS, and segment routing and implement carrier-grade routing architectures. You will build automation frameworks in Go and Python to manage network configuration, deployment, and monitoring. You will partner with hardware, protocol, and systems engineers to optimize for latency, reliability, and scale. You will debug real-world production network failures across physical and virtual layers.
Requirements
- CCIE or equivalent hands-on routing and switching expertise
- Strong experience in ISP carrier or backbone network environments
- Production Go and Python experience
- Deep understanding of routing protocols convergence and network failure modes
- Experience treating infrastructure as code and systems as software
- Preference for telecom ISP or infrastructure backgrounds
