About the Role
You will oversee NDT operations, perform nondestructive and welding inspections, prepare procedures, qualify personnel, and maintain inspection records. You will provide technical guidance, review welding documentation, and recommend corrective actions for errors.
Requirements
- Level II RT certification under ASNT SNT-TC-1A or NAS-410
- High school diploma or technical degree in Welding, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of welding inspection and NDT experience
- Experience with ASME Section V, VIII, IX, API 1104, API 650, or AWS D17.1
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical authority for assigned NDT methods
- Perform radiographic, visual, liquid penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections
- Conduct welding inspections to applicable specifications
- Prepare and approve NDT procedures and work instructions
- Provide NDE technical guidance
- Train, qualify, and certify personnel
- Review WPS, PQR, and WPQ records
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain records
- Identify errors and recommend corrective actions
