About the Role
You will moderate Discord channels to ensure civility, remove spam and misinformation, and answer questions from new and existing users in the African community channels. You will help organize and host events and AMAs when required, and represent and promote Drift at local crypto events. You should be prepared to be tested on your knowledge of Drift and its features, work effectively in a fast-paced remote environment, and apply a creative mindset to improve community processes.
Requirements
- Interest and understanding of decentralized finance
- Familiarity with Drift and its features (assessment required)
- Verbal and written English communication
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote working environment
- Creative mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Prior community management experience with crypto communities (nice to have)
- Prior contributions on Drift Discord or Telegram (nice to have)
Responsibilities
- Maintain order and civility across Discord channels
- Protect the community from spam, misinformation, and irrelevant posts
- Address questions and provide support for new users in African community channels
- Organize and host events and AMAs when required
- Represent and promote Drift at local events
