About the Role
You will lead AML, CTF, and sanctions compliance for UK entities. You will maintain policies and controls, oversee monitoring, screening, due diligence, reporting, risk assessments, audits, training, regulatory engagement, and strategic AML initiatives.
Requirements
- Significant experience in AML, CTF, and financial crime compliance within a regulated financial services firm
- Knowledge of UK Money Laundering Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, UK sanctions regime, and JMLSG guidance
- Experience overseeing transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence systems
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into policies and controls
- Stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
Responsibilities
- Oversee AML, CTF, and sanctions compliance frameworks
- Develop and maintain AML and CTF policies, controls, and procedures
- Oversee transaction monitoring and SAR reporting
- Oversee CDD, EDD, enhanced monitoring, and sanctions screening
- Approve high-risk client relationships and review outcomes
- Maintain financial crime risk assessments
- Advise on AML and sanctions compliance
- Support audits and regulatory reviews
- Deliver financial crime training
- Prepare reporting for senior management and the board
- Lead monthly reviews of UK corporate clients
- Produce the annual MLRO report
- Monitor regulatory developments and update policies
- Liaise with law enforcement and regulatory authorities
