About the Role
In this role, you will perform routine inspections on mining equipment to identify and address potential issues. You will conduct repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functionality of machinery and collaborate with mining engineers and other team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines during all mining operations is a key part of your responsibilities. You will also assist in the installation and setup of new mining equipment, monitor its performance and efficiency, and make adjustments as needed. Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status, participating in safety training programs, and operating various tools and machinery are also expected. You will need to stay informed about advancements in mining technology and be on call during emergencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in mining technology is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year experience production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical and/or troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and associated technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent teamwork and communications skills and attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to be on your feet 7 hours per day.
- Ability to lift/carry 30-50 lbs.
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety guidelines.
