Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

About the Role

You will design, build, and support board-level and product-level functional test stations, debug and resolve station issues, and act as the Directly Responsible Individual for station development and production support. You will write and maintain test station software, analyze test data to perform root cause analysis, document findings, and implement evidence-based fixes. You will communicate status, risks, and priorities with global stakeholders, drive continuous improvements to test coverage and processes, and coordinate with engineering and factory teams. You should be prepared to travel internationally about 20% as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Clear written and spoken English communication skills
  • Experience with Python, Labview, or similar programming languages
  • Experience in statistics and with SQL, JMP, Matplotlib, or similar data visualization tools
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Knowledge of circuit design at maker level or beyond
  • Hands-on experience with hardware lab equipment for test and measurement (oscilloscope, power supply, DMM)
  • Experience with prototyping platforms (Raspberry Pi, Arduino) and 3D printing
  • Methodical engineering problem-solving skills
  • Able and willing to travel internationally ~20% as needed
  • Clear written and spoken Mandarin communication skills (preferred)
  • Familiarity with board-level (SMT) and product-level (FATP) electronics manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Experience performing analog measurements including calibration and control of systematic errors (preferred)
  • Experience managing contract manufacturing test partners and driving GR&R and DOE (preferred)
  • Experience driving yield and cycle time optimizations (preferred)
  • Experience writing build reports, SOPs, and station issue lists (preferred)
