About the Role

Develop and implement high-quality secure code for cryptographic controls across infrastructure, review code and help engineering teams resolve security guardrail issues, foster efficient testing practices, reduce technical debt, build robust components, maintain threat models, lead security initiatives, estimate project scope, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in applied cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and key exchange
  • Proficiency with cryptographic protocols and common cryptographic libraries
  • Secure coding experience in Go, C++, C, and Rust
  • Experience with Hardware Security Modules for key generation and management
  • Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms including MFA, OAuth 2.0, and RBAC
  • Experience in threat modeling and prioritizing mitigations
  • Computer science fundamentals including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures
  • Commitment to code quality and test infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement secure cryptographic code
  • Review code across the technology stack and resolve security issues
  • Foster efficient testing practices and reduce technical debt
  • Build robust, resilient components for integration by other teams
  • Develop and maintain threat models for cryptosystem guarantees
  • Lead or substantially contribute to medium and large security initiatives
  • Break projects into tasks with accurate time and scope estimates
  • Mentor and guide engineers and share security knowledge
  • Collaborate across teams and communicate technical recommendations
