About the Role
You will study the severity of cracks using 3D numerical models and internal calculation codes to assess their effect on mechanical strength. You will research documentation, develop your understanding of the topic, write synthesis notes, create cracked-structure models, use calculation codes, analyse results, and document conclusions.
Requirements
- Seek a six-month internship to validate a mechanical-engineering degree at master’s level
- Demonstrate interest in fracture mechanics and crack modelling
- Demonstrate analysis and synthesis skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of calculation software
Responsibilities
- Research internal and external documentation
- Develop understanding of fracture-analysis topics
- Write synthesis notes
- Create 3D models containing cracks
- Use internal calculation codes
- Analyse and interpret results
- Document completed work and developments
