About the Role

You will own mechanical design strategy for robotic end effectors and lead design reviews. You will define requirements, create manufacturing-ready CAD designs, integrate mechatronic devices, select materials and processes, evaluate design trade-offs, lead validation plans, apply DFM and DFA, and mentor mechanical engineers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of mechanical design experience for robotics hardware or electromechanical products
• Experience delivering electromechanical or robotic systems to production
• Experience leading or mentoring mechanical engineers
• Experience with requirements development and test planning
• 3D CAD proficiency including Siemens NX
• GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Experience with 3D printing CNC machining injection moulding and sheet metal
• Experience integrating electromechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of DFM and DFA

Responsibilities

• Set mechanical design strategy and architecture for end-effector products
• Lead design reviews and mentor mechanical engineers
• Gather requirements and define design specifications
• Design mechanical components assemblies and enclosures using 3D CAD
• Integrate cameras sensors PCBAs and mechatronic devices
• Balance weight durability ergonomics and manufacturability requirements
• Select materials and manufacturing processes
• Define and lead test and evaluation plans
• Apply DFM and DFA principles
