About the Role

You will own physical products and prototypes from unclear requirements through mechanical design, fabrication, testing, iteration, and delivery. You will manage multiple hardware projects, work with stakeholders and fabrication partners, and use hands-on testing to improve performance, reliability, usability, and manufacturability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, prototyping, or a similar hands-on hardware role
• Experience taking physical products or prototypes through design, fabrication, assembly, and testing
• Mechanical CAD and design skills
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication constraints
• Experience independently managing multiple hardware projects
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver functional, validated prototypes and products from concept through fabrication and testing
• Drive multiple projects by establishing requirements, priorities, and execution plans
• Develop mechanical designs for rapid prototyping, testing, iteration, and manufacturing transition
• Coordinate with stakeholders, machine shops, vendors, and fabrication resources
• Identify issues through hands-on testing and improve design performance, reliability, usability, and manufacturability
