About the Role
You will create, edit, and maintain high-definition maps for L4 autonomous vehicle operations. You will digitize road geometry and infrastructure from lidar, aerial, street-level, and other geospatial data, validate map quality, resolve map-related issues, and collaborate through versioned technical workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of map creation and maintenance experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher education
- Understanding of lane-level geometry, routing, and HD map structures
- Experience with point-cloud data, 3D visualization, or lidar annotation tools
- Knowledge of autonomous vehicle maps, AV datasets, or HD mapping pipelines
- Knowledge of ADP, Apollo, Lanelet2, OpenDRIVE, or similar HD map standards
- Python or SQL scripting
Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and maintain HD maps for L4 autonomous vehicle operations
- Digitize road geometry, semantic attributes, and infrastructure from geospatial inputs
- Apply mapping specifications to ensure accurate, complete, and consistent map data
- Contribute to map revision cycles and technical validation
- Triage and root-cause map-related disengagement issues
- Provide feedback on mapping tools, workflows, and specifications
- Collaborate with software engineers using Git, GitHub, Jira, Google Workspace, and Slack
