About the Role
You will oversee the daily production and assembly of robotic systems, troubleshoot build and quality issues, and lead continuous improvement. You will own production planning, staffing, and technician development while implementing and maintaining MES workflows, integrations, digital instructions, dashboards, and reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience
- Experience in robotics, complex electromechanical assembly, or high-mix precision hardware manufacturing
- Experience implementing an MES system from the ground up
- Understanding of OEE, first-pass yield, downtime tracking, and shop-floor data analysis
- People leadership experience managing technicians or assemblers
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production and assembly operations for robotic systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, integration, and functional test issues with technicians
- Lead root-cause analysis for build defects, quality escapes, and process deviations
- Own production scheduling, capacity planning, and staffing
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma continuous-improvement initiatives
- Partner on new product introductions and MES workflow design
- Manage, coach, and review technicians and assemblers
- Lead MES implementation, configuration, and rollout
- Build and maintain digital work instructions, operator apps, alerts, and data-collection stations
- Integrate MES with test equipment, torque tools, scanners, and fixtures
- Train production staff on digital workflows and drive adoption
- Build MES dashboards and reporting for production performance and traceability
