About the Role
You will translate energetic manufacturing processes into production-ready systems. You will develop tooling, procedures, process controls, and production documentation; improve safety, quality, throughput, and reliability; support production operations; train personnel; and work with engineering, safety, and compliance stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, a relevant master's degree and 3 years of experience, or 9 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience implementing and improving manufacturing processes in a production environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience supporting complex assembly, hazardous materials, or regulated manufacturing
- Knowledge of OSHA, ITAR, and hazardous or energetic-materials standards
- Eligibility for state and federal explosives licenses
- U.S. person status or eligibility for required export authorization
Responsibilities
- Design and improve manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and tooling for solid rocket motors and energetic materials
- Lead process transitions from development and pilot scale to full production
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement methods
- Oversee production operations, hazardous-materials handling, and manufacturing execution
- Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation
- Train operations personnel on procedures and standards
- Prepare technical reports and presentations
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing development, safety, and compliance stakeholders
