About the Role

You will design, qualify, and improve assembly, integration, and test processes for server and rack products. You will bring up manufacturing lines and sites, improve production yield and cost, provide manufacturability feedback, and work directly with manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• 8+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience for complex electromechanical or electronics products
• Contract manufacturer or ODM experience
• Production-process design and release experience
• New line or site bring-up experience
• PFMEA
• control plan
• SPC
• process capability
• gauge R&R
• DFM
• DFT
• 8D
• Factory telemetry analysis
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Design and document assembly, rack-integration, and test processes
• Lead new manufacturing-line and site bring-up at CM and ODM partners
• Specify, source, and validate tooling, fixtures, and test equipment
• Own first-pass yield, cycle time, and process capability in production
• Run SPC, analyze failure and rework data, and drive corrective actions
• Provide design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test feedback
• Qualify process and engineering changes on the production line
• Replicate qualified processes across lines and sites
• Audit partner lines against standards
• Partner with product engineering, test engineering, quality, and supply chain to resolve build issues and reduce unit cost
