About the Role
You will own robotic body and joint systems from concept through production. You will design electromechanical architectures, build and test prototypes, perform analyses and validation, resolve production issues, and collaborate on integrated robotic hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience developing complex mechanical or electromechanical products
- Experience designing mechanisms, structural components, precision assemblies, or robotic systems
- Advanced 3D CAD proficiency
- Knowledge of statics, dynamics, materials, fatigue, friction, fasteners, bearings, and tolerance analysis
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance-stack analysis, drawing release, and production documentation
- Experience building and testing prototypes
- Experience integrating mechanical systems with motors, sensors, electronics, and wiring
Responsibilities
- Design and release production-ready body, joint, and structural systems
- Develop integrated electromechanical joint architectures
- Improve mass, stiffness, strength, durability, and serviceability through mechanical design
- Build and test prototypes to identify failures and improve designs
- Develop requirements, tolerance analyses, test methods, and validation plans
- Support prototype builds, design validation, NPI, and production ramp
- Collaborate on integrated robotic systems
