About the Role

You will fine-tune multimodal transformer models for clinical and biomedical applications. You will source, curate, and evaluate clinical datasets; develop leakage-resistant experimental frameworks; build benchmarks and evaluation systems; and optimize models for calibration and uncertainty. You will work with engineering and clinical specialists to deploy models and write tested, documented machine learning components.

Requirements

• MS in chemistry, bio/chemical engineering, or a computational STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or PhD or equivalent industry experience
• Python and deep learning model implementation and fine-tuning experience
• Experience in clinical science or with clinical datasets
• Data science skills
• Ability to own a workstream from data ingestion through evaluation
• Reproducible experimentation, clean code, and testing
• Docker

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune multimodal transformer models for clinical and biomedical applications
• Identify, characterize, and use datasets for pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, toxicity, adverse events, and clinical trial outcomes
• Develop leakage-resistant experimental approaches
• Design and maintain benchmarking and evaluation frameworks
• Build calibrated models with uncertainty quantification and clinically meaningful metrics
• Collaborate to deploy and operationalize models
• Partner with clinical scientists and pharmacologists on model development
• Communicate results to internal teams, partners, and conferences
• Write, test, document, and package machine learning components
