About the Role
You'll step into the exciting world of fintech at ADDX, gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced in-house counsel and commercial teams in a vibrant startup environment. You'll have direct access to senior team members within a flat hierarchy where your ideas are valued. You'll conduct research on corporate law, compliance, intellectual property, and fintech regulations, review legal documentation from issuers, partners, vendors and counterparties, and support drafting and editing of contracts, agreements, marketing materials and legal memos. You'll collaborate on regulatory reviews and internal audits, help maintain legal templates and standard agreements, attend internal meetings summarising key takeaways, and organise files and track deadlines to support the legal team's operational needs.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an LLB or JD (or equivalent) with a strong academic record
- A keen interest in corporate governance, finance law, and intellectual property
- Exceptional research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks efficiently
- Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm preferred but not required
- Familiarity with fintech regulations or data privacy laws
- Ability to commit full-time for a minimum of 3 months preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on corporate law, compliance, intellectual property, and fintech regulations
- Review legal documentation from issuers, partners, vendors and counterparties
- Draft, review, and edit contracts, agreements, marketing materials and legal memos
- Collaborate on regulatory reviews and internal audits
- Create and maintain legal templates and standard agreements
- Attend internal meetings with the legal team and commercial departments and summarise key takeaways and action items
- Organise files, manage case documentation, and track deadlines
