About the Role

You will keep Bristol electronics laboratories operational, safe, and ready for engineering work. You will support test benches, equipment configuration, board modifications, cable work, ESD controls, calibration, asset management, documentation, and safe working practices while developing procedures and helping engineers maintain technical readiness.

Requirements

Experience working in an electronics laboratory
Understanding of electronic test equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of ESD prevention, health and safety, and safe laboratory practices
Experience repairing and modifying PCB assemblies to IPC-7711/21 and J-STD-001 standards
Experience with cable and wire harness assemblies to drawings and IPC-620 standards
Experience with IPC-A-610 inspection
Hands-on approach and clear communication
Ability to mentor junior team members

Responsibilities

Keep electronics laboratories operational and safe
Support test benches and equipment configuration
Perform board modifications and cable work
Manage ESD controls, calibration, and laboratory assets
Repair and modify PCB assemblies
Assemble cable and wire harnesses
Develop standard operating procedures
Guide and mentor junior team members
