About the Role
You will conduct CDD, EDD, KYC, and KYB reviews, maintain accurate client records, investigate transaction monitoring alerts, perform sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening, escalate suspicious activities, support AML initiatives, and ensure cases meet established SLAs.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- 3–6 years of experience in AML Operations, Transaction Monitoring, KYC/KYB, Financial Crime Compliance, or Client Onboarding
- Understanding of AML/CFT regulations, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting
- Experience investigating transaction monitoring alerts or AML cases preferred
- Strong analytical, investigative, organisational, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with AML case management, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or compliance systems advantageous
- Open to adopting AI-enabled tools, automation, and emerging technologies
- Experience in fintech, digital assets, payments, or financial services advantageous
- ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent AML certification advantageous
Responsibilities
- Conduct CDD, EDD, KYC, and KYB reviews
- Perform periodic KYC/KYB reviews and ongoing due diligence
- Review customer documentation, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues
- Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and customer activity
- Conduct sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening
- Escalate suspicious activities and support STR/SAR preparation
- Engage internal stakeholders to resolve AML cases
- Complete cases within established SLAs
- Maintain client records and case documentation
- Respond to internal stakeholder queries
- Support AML compliance and operational improvement initiatives
- Stay up to date with AML/CFT regulations and sanctions requirements
