About the Role
You will build, support, and automate Windows Server application stacks and infrastructure. You will administer Active Directory, VMware environments, SQL Server virtual machines, and storage; monitor performance and availability; document operating procedures; collaborate on scalable solutions; and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of corporate Microsoft infrastructure systems engineering experience
- Experience managing large-scale Windows Server environments
- Active Directory administration experience
- VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and Horizon administration experience
- Experience supporting SQL Server on Windows virtual machines
- PowerShell automation and configuration management proficiency
- Networking knowledge for Windows and VMware environments
- Technical documentation and design-document experience
- Experience working in a source-controlled environment
- Eligibility to meet U.S. ITAR export-control requirements
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and support Windows Server application stacks
- Administer on-premises Active Directory
- Deploy, configure, and support VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
- Deploy, configure, and support VMware Horizon Windows VDI environments
- Manage SQL Server workloads on Windows virtual machines
- Troubleshoot Windows Server environments and provide hands-on support
- Manage scalable storage solutions for Windows workloads
- Automate Windows infrastructure using PowerShell
- Collaborate with engineering teams and vendors on scalable solutions
- Maintain standard operating procedures
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation
- Monitor, optimize, and improve system availability, reliability, and performance
- Write and maintain automation scripts
