About the Role

You will own and administer Okta, including SSO, MFA, authentication policies, groups, and application integrations. You will automate identity workflows, implement access controls, support compliance evidence, maintain documentation, and act as an escalation point for complex identity and systems issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, identity engineering, or a related role
• Hands-on experience administering Okta, including Okta Identity Engine, Okta Workflows, authentication policies, and lifecycle management
• Knowledge of SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and MFA implementations
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell and experience with REST APIs
• Experience administering Google Workspace and an MDM platform
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2
• Clear written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, configuration, and administration of Okta
• Lead Okta migrations and application integrations using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM
• Build automated joiner, mover, and leaver workflows
• Develop automation with Okta Workflows, REST APIs, and scripting
• Implement role-based access control, least-privilege models, and access reviews
• Integrate identity with endpoint management for device trust and compliance
• Support SOC 2 access controls, audit evidence, and documentation
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
• Serve as a technical escalation point for IT Support
