About the Role
You will perform financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions. You will build financial models, conduct research and due diligence, prepare presentations and marketing materials, participate in client meetings, and support client relationship development. You will also mentor interns and junior analysts while ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Prior investment banking experience required.
- Previous experience as an Analyst or equivalent strongly preferred.
- SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment.
- Demonstrated analytical ability.
- Strong mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Thorough understanding of accounting and finance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Approximately 5% travel required.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for debt and equity transactions.
- Build financial models using comparable companies, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow methods.
- Conduct due diligence, research, analysis, and transaction documentation.
- Identify deal issues and escalate concerns to team members.
- Draft management presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries and sectors and improve BIC content.
- Streamline processes and propose efficiency improvements.
- Support client relationship development and anticipate client information needs.
- Develop understanding of macroeconomic factors affecting client industries and investment banking products.
- Mentor summer interns and subsequent analyst classes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
