About the Role
You will support business development and transaction execution through financial analysis, valuation, research, due diligence, and documentation. You will build advanced financial models, prepare proposals and presentations, participate in client meetings, and communicate analysis findings. You will manage client relationships, monitor industry and macroeconomic trends, improve processes, review analyst work, provide training and feedback, and ensure compliance with applicable rules and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior investment banking experience.
- SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 acquired within 150 days of employment for United States roles.
- Analytical ability.
- Mathematics, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
- Accounting and finance knowledge.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and senior-banker expectations.
- Approximately 10% to 30% travel.
- Willingness to work in Chicago or New York.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising transactions.
- Build advanced financial models to value clients and industries.
- Lead due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for potential and live transactions.
- Participate in presentation development and hypothesis testing.
- Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for clients and prospects.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries and sectors, monitor industry drivers, and provide business-trend insights.
- Identify process improvements and propose efficient solutions.
- Manage client relationships and communicate with finance and accounting staff.
- Assess macroeconomic factors and their implications for clients and investment banking products.
- Train analysts and provide constructive feedback on work products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complete additional responsibilities as requested.
