About the Role
You will make and execute large-order trading decisions, identify market and product opportunities, and negotiate prices with brokers and direct counterparties. You will represent quotes and execute orders by phone, IM, and Bloomberg; collaborate with Institutional and Screen Traders; improve data-capture tools; and apply exchange rules, regulations, and market-structure knowledge.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be fluent in English.
- Have 2–5 years of professional work experience.
- Hold at least a BSc in a quantitative or technical field.
- Work effectively under pressure while making fast decisions and handling a high volume of trades.
Responsibilities
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities independently and within the trading team.
- Make rapid trading decisions that affect profitability.
- Identify new product and market opportunities to diversify strategies.
- Improve execution and access to volume.
- Network with Institutional Traders and Screen Traders to make well-informed decisions.
- Represent quotes and execute orders with large trading desks via phone, IM, and Bloomberg.
- Negotiate prices with brokers and other relevant parties.
- Improve systems and tools for effective data capture.
- Understand and apply exchange rules, regulations, and market structures.
