About the Role
You will manage infrastructure installations and upgrades, monitor critical power, cooling, and network systems, and respond to incidents and escalated customer support issues. You will investigate root causes, implement long-term fixes, build automation, support capacity planning, participate in shifts and on-call cover, and travel to other data centres when needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in data-centre environments
- Expertise in server administration, virtualization, and networking protocols
- Experience with Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or other automation tools
- Hands-on server experience in a technology organization
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Advanced technical certifications
- Customer service experience
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure installations, upgrades, and operational projects
- Support deployments and operational work at additional data centres
- Monitor power, cooling, and network connectivity
- Maintain data-centre infrastructure for efficiency, reliability, and scalability
- Respond to critical incidents outside business hours
- Work shifts and participate in on-call cover
- Handle escalated customer support issues against SLA requirements
- Investigate major incidents and recommend long-term fixes
- Design and implement automation scripts and tools
- Collaborate on capacity planning and infrastructure optimisation
