About the Role
You will manage industrial and science construction projects, coordinating clients, architects, consultants, contractors, labour, materials, and plant resources while overseeing schedules, costs, quality, safety, statutory requirements, site administration, inspections, meetings, reporting, and procurement.
Requirements
- Degree in construction, project management, or a similar field
- Minimum 10 years of experience on large or complex industrial or science construction projects
- Experience managing contractors during pre-contract and post-contract stages
- Experience managing tendering processes preferred
- Leadership skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects and ensure quality, cost, statutory, safety, environmental, and scheduling requirements are met
- Coordinate construction projects, including progress, logistics, quality, cost, and client relations
- Coordinate clients, architects, and consultants
- Monitor site labour, materials, and plant resources
- Manage master programmes and resource schedules
- Review and communicate short-term programmes
- Ensure safe site operations
- Provide site administration, meetings, and reporting
- Plan statutory inspections
- Act as client representative and manage daily project operations
- Facilitate progress meetings and produce project reports
- Manage consultants and the professional team
- Assist with consultant procurement and appointments
