About the Role
You will teach hands-on technical sessions for engineers, field teams, and partners while building a scalable instructor function. You will hire and develop instructors, set teaching-quality standards, create train-the-trainer processes, turn expert content into live labs, and use learner outcomes to improve instruction.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in technical roles
- 4+ years of hands-on technical instruction
- Production software engineering experience
- Recent hands-on AI development with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, tool use, MCP, or similar technologies
- People-management experience
- Experience designing or running instructor-development programs
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate
- Ability to attend the office every day a program runs and three days in a normal week
- Ability to travel 25 to 30 percent
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience
Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on technical sessions to engineers, field teams, and partner cohorts
- Hire and develop instructors and curriculum developers
- Define instructor quality criteria and manage contract renewals
- Own the observation rubric, dry-run protocol, and cleared-to-teach process
- Set standards for train-the-trainer programs
- Turn internal expert content into live sessions and labs
- Staff programs with cleared instructors and own instructional quality
- Report learner pass rates and improve instruction
