About the Role
You will lead sourcing and buying for critical equipment, secure vendor capacity and lead times, track purchase-order commitments through delivery, and address schedule risks immediately. You will build and manage a category team and coordinate with design, construction, and manufacturing so equipment arrives before it is needed.
Requirements
- Own $300M or more in direct-materials spend on physical equipment.
- Manage vendors against production-ramp commitments.
- Build a category or sourcing team.
- Work hands-on with electrical and mechanical equipment lead times.
- Scale supply from prototype to volume.
- Make sourcing decisions using incomplete data.
Responsibilities
- Own sourcing and buying for critical equipment categories.
- Lock vendor capacity and lead times against the build pipeline.
- Track vendor commitments from purchase order to delivery and address shipment delays.
- Build the category team and define the sourcing playbook.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and manufacturing to keep procurement off the critical path.
