About the Role
You will build and lead the safety function for autonomous AI agents. You will set safety strategy, develop evaluation and red-teaming programs, shape model training and the agent harness, define deployment policies, and hire and lead safety researchers and engineers.
Requirements
- Hands-on safety, alignment, evaluation, or red-teaming experience at a frontier AI lab.
- Experience shipping safety work affecting real models or products.
- Knowledge of agentic failure modes and mitigations.
- A track record of published or widely used safety research, evaluations, or methods.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with training and inference stacks.
- Experience starting or scaling a safety function.
Responsibilities
- Set the safety strategy for Devin and its underlying models.
- Design safety evaluations and red-teaming for agentic risks.
- Integrate safety evaluations into every model and product release.
- Partner on model training and the agent harness.
- Define deployment policies, permissions, and oversight.
- Hire and lead safety researchers and engineers.
- Represent safety work with customers, policymakers, and the research community.
