About the Role

You will set and lead risk, fraud-prevention, and compliance strategy across payment products and global operations. You will build scalable frameworks, controls, and escalation processes; embed controls in products and payment flows; oversee vendors; and advise senior leaders on risk decisions and trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in risk, compliance, or fraud within payments, fintech, or financial services
  • Leadership experience across risk and compliance programs for payment products
  • Experience in a global company

Responsibilities

  • Set and lead risk, fraud-prevention, and compliance strategy across payment products and global operations
  • Build and improve scalable risk frameworks, policies, controls, and escalation processes
  • Guide approaches to AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, customer and business verification, and data privacy risk
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to embed risk controls in product design, payment flows, and internal systems
  • Use data, automation, and compliance technology to strengthen risk detection and controls
  • Advise on risk across cards, ACH, wires, and real-time payments
  • Identify risks and jurisdiction-specific requirements for new markets
  • Evaluate, select, and manage KYC, transaction-monitoring, fraud, and sanctions technology vendors
  • Assess issues, manage escalations, and continuously improve controls
  • Communicate risk priorities, decisions, and trade-offs to senior leaders and cross-functional partners
