About the Role
In this role you will lead and scale fiat operations across all products and payment flows. You will own end-to-end operational processes for accounts, IBANs, SWIFT, SEPA/FPS, card issuing and acceptance, and local rails. You will manage relationships with banks, card schemes, processors, PSPs and acquirers, ensure daily reconciliation and settlement discipline, monitor liquidity exposure, and implement controls to safeguard client funds. You will redesign operational architecture to support volume growth, reduce manual work through automation, define and track KPIs, maintain audit readiness and incident management procedures, and manage inventory and distribution of physical and virtual cards. You will hire, develop and structure the operations team, reduce single-point dependencies and ensure strong stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking operations or financial infrastructure
- Proven experience managing complex partner ecosystems including banks, schemes, PSPs and acquirers
- Deep understanding of fiat payment flows and operational risk
- Experience scaling operational processes in a growth environment
- Control mindset with ability to introduce structure without bureaucracy
- Data-driven approach and comfort working with operational metrics
- Structured communication and stakeholder management
- Manager/Supervisor experience
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end fiat operations across accounts, IBANs, SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, card issuing and local payment rails
- Manage inbound and outbound fund flows and ensure operational continuity
- Govern relationships with banking partners, card schemes, BIN sponsors, processors, PSPs and acquirers
- Ensure daily reconciliation and accurate settlement of all fiat flows
- Monitor liquidity exposure across partners and regions
- Implement and enforce reconciliation and operational financial controls
- Design scalable operational architecture and implement measurable KPIs
- Automate manual processes and introduce system controls
- Participate early in product launches and expansion initiatives to ensure operational readiness
- Forecast and control card inventory, packaging and distribution logistics
- Maintain incident management processes and build early-warning indicators
- Reduce key-person dependency and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Build, lead and develop a high-performance operations team with succession planning
