About the Role
You will own and lead the finance function end-to-end, building durable, audit-ready systems and operational processes. You will manage accounting, FP&A, tax, audit, and compliance, oversee usage-based billing and invoicing infrastructure, and translate financial data into clear guidance for decision-making. You will implement and improve finance systems and tooling, mentor finance talent, and maintain financial governance and controls as the business scales.
Requirements
- Prior experience leading finance at a Series C or later stage startup or scaleup
- Strong background in controllership and operational finance
- Experience managing audits tax strategy and regulatory requirements
- Comfort operating in complex billing environments especially usage-based or consumption models
- Track record of building or modernizing finance processes and systems
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-moving environment
- High judgment attention to detail and comfort navigating ambiguity
- Experience scaling finance teams and mentoring senior finance talent
- Familiarity with modern finance tooling and automation
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end finance function, including accounting, FP&A, tax, audit, and compliance
- Build and formalize controllership processes appropriate for a venture-backed company
- Oversee and optimize relationships with outsourced accounting tax audit and advisory partners
- Manage and mentor existing finance talent including FP&A and strategic finance leads
- Own budgeting forecasting and operating models and translate financial data into business insights
- Maintain financial governance controls and audit readiness
- Oversee usage-based billing and invoicing infrastructure and partner with Product and Engineering
- Evaluate implement and improve finance systems and tooling including ERP billing and reporting
- Anticipate compliance tax and financial risk needs and proactively prepare for them
