About the Role
You will lead the company's compliance vision and multi-year roadmap, building a scalable, risk-based compliance programme that evolves with the business. You will shape regulatory positioning and engage regulators, monitor developments and translate them into business recommendations, and represent the company in industry and policy discussions. You will lead compliance across digital asset products — advising on token issuance and classification, stablecoin compliance, DeFi risk, smart contract governance, on-chain transaction monitoring, and blockchain analytics. You will own the enterprise compliance risk framework and oversee AML/BSA, KYC/KYB, OFAC sanctions screening and transaction monitoring programs. You will partner with product and engineering teams to embed controls into products and infrastructure, own the compliance policy lifecycle, and run role-based training to drive behavioral change.
Requirements
- 10+ years of compliance experience with digital assets fintech or financial services
- Deep knowledge of US digital asset regulatory landscape including SEC CFTC FinCEN OFAC and state frameworks
- Experience leading regulatory examinations licensing processes or enforcement matters
- Proven track record building compliance programmes in high-growth or ambiguous environments
- Familiarity with blockchain technology on-chain transaction monitoring tools such as Chainalysis and TRM Labs and DeFi risk vectors
- Strong executive presence with ability to advise executives engage regulators and influence across the business
