About the Role
You will co-architect scientific and technical direction, build AI and computational infrastructure, and make key architecture decisions. You will prototype modeling systems, design scalable workflows and data pipelines, develop open production platforms, lead technical hiring, and engage scientific collaborators.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in modern machine learning, including large-scale training, representation learning, and generative modeling
- Experience translating ideas into scalable systems
- Understanding of machine learning and physics-based modeling
- Experience solving inverse problems, including regularization and reconstruction approaches
- Experience building machine learning pipelines for large-scale data-intensive problems
- Systems-level thinking across data generation, modeling, infrastructure, and experimentation
- Experience designing durable technical platforms
- Experience managing small technical teams
- Familiarity with the AI and biology landscape
- Commitment to open science and public infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Establish AI and computational architecture across programs
- Shape foundational technical systems and portfolio decisions
- Prototype modeling systems and core infrastructure
- Design scalable training workflows, data pipelines, validation frameworks, and benchmarks
