About the Role
You will lead global sourcing for electrical and semiconductor components supporting humanoid robotics. You will manage supplier lifecycles, negotiate strategic agreements, maintain sourcing roadmaps, optimize bills of materials and costs, mitigate supply risks, and conduct supplier performance reviews.
Requirements
- 7+ years of global sourcing or commodity-management experience with semiconductors or complex EE components
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management
- Direct experience managing and sourcing relevant semiconductor or EE component segments
- Deep technical knowledge of the semiconductor ecosystem
- Experience in NPI environments
- Track record of securing long-term agreements with Tier 1 global suppliers
- Supplier and stakeholder relationship management
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25%
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for essential components and materials
- Create and manage a semiconductor technology roadmap
- Own the Approved Vendor List and supplier lifecycle
- Negotiate long-term supply agreements
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and NPI teams
- Monitor electronics-market trends, pricing, lead times, and technical developments
- Lead BOM scrubs to identify EOL risks, single-source vulnerabilities, and bottlenecks
- Influence design decisions for cost, performance, and supply-chain resilience
- Own should-cost modeling and total cost of ownership reductions
- Identify EE supply-chain vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies
- Negotiate master purchase agreements, quality agreements, and statements of work
- Maintain supplier performance metrics and lead business reviews
- Travel to supplier sites for cost reduction, relationship building, and supplier development
