About the Role
You will own strategic sourcing for rack and mechanical hardware. You will develop commodity strategies, translate technical requirements into sourcing plans, negotiate supplier agreements, build cost models, manage supplier risks, lead business reviews, and protect long-term commercial interests.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or technical procurement
- Experience sourcing rack infrastructure and mechanical hardware components
- Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements
- Ability to translate technical requirements into commercial sourcing strategies
- Financial acumen in cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Expertise in rack infrastructure, mechanical assemblies, and data center hardware
- Experience sourcing hardware for AI or hyperscale data center infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Own strategic sourcing for rack and mechanical hardware components
- Develop multi-year commodity strategies
- Translate technical specifications into sourcing strategies and negotiation frameworks
- Lead commercial negotiations and capacity reservations
- Build cost models and perform should-cost analysis
- Secure supply continuity through capacity planning and supplier risk management
- Conduct executive supplier business reviews
- Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations
- Ensure supplier agreements protect long-term commercial interests
