About the Role
Join Adyen’s Group Finance team in Amsterdam as a General Ledger Accountant responsible for operational expense accounting and the Record-to-Report cycle. The role focuses on financial integrity, accounting controls, anomaly detection, fixed assets, lease accounting, intercompany reconciliations, reporting, and audit support.
Requirements
- At least three years of GL accounting experience
- P2P cycle experience
- R2R process experience
- Balance sheet accounting knowledge
- Analytical skills
- IFRS 16 lease accounting knowledge
- Intercompany reconciliation experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects
Responsibilities
- Own the accuracy of general ledger bookings for operational expenses
- Ensure a clean trial balance
- Apply controls to P2P and R2R cycles
- Validate data from Finance Operations
- Manage supplier accruals
- Reconcile prepaid assets
- Review high-value transactions
- Detect ledger trends and vulnerabilities
- Manage the fixed asset register
- Execute depreciation and IFRS 16 lease accounting entries
- Manage intercompany bookings and reconciliations
- Perform month-end variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits
