About the Role
You will lead complex commercial negotiations with banks and service providers, coordinate internal reviews, and bring agreements to execution. You will manage legal and regulatory risk, advise on payments, tokenization, and digital assets, and establish scalable contracting processes and external-counsel relationships.
Requirements
- Be based in the United States and able to travel as needed
- Hold a J.D. and active membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar
- Have 10+ years of relevant legal experience
- Have significant experience negotiating commercial contracts with regulated U.S. banks or financial institutions
- Have experience leading high-volume contract negotiations and coordinating cross-functional reviews
- Have familiarity with crypto, blockchain, and digital asset technology
- Have strong knowledge of commercial, vendor, and technology contracting
- Have negotiation, drafting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead contract negotiations with regulated U.S. banks and third-party service providers
- Coordinate contract reviews across risk and compliance, finance, product, and technology
- Support contracting needs across internal teams and standardize templates and processes
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risk
- Advise on legal and regulatory considerations for bank payments, tokenization, and digital assets
- Establish contracting infrastructure, external counsel relationships, and operating cadence
