About the Role
You will provide timely legal, regulatory, and corporate-governance advice. You will review legislation, draft and review commercial agreements, support legal projects and governance matters, manage external legal support, and identify and escalate legal and regulatory risks.
Requirements
- UK-qualified lawyer with substantial relevant in-house or law-firm experience
- Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts
- Experience advising on GDPR, competition, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, and money-laundering regulations
- Digital and ecommerce legal and regulatory knowledge or experience
- Report-writing skills
- IT skills
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to the business
- Review laws and regulations and support implementation of changes
- Advise on the interpretation and impact of legal and regulatory requirements
- Draft and review commercial contracts and related documentation
- Conduct regulatory horizon scanning
- Support legal projects and initiatives
- Manage and coordinate external legal support
- Identify and escalate risks under risk policies and regulatory guidelines
- Review and draft governance policies, procedures, committee documents, and minutes
- Support corporate and internal governance matters
