About the Role
You will review and control fund NAVs, challenge valuations and fees, reconcile investments and cash, and resolve discrepancies. You will support capital activity, expenses, investment accounting and audits. You will analyse complex data, build Excel and VBA controls, and improve workflows and system integrations.
Requirements
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, fund audit, fund operations or equivalent roles.
- Analytical understanding of investments, NAVs and financial statements.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to analyse large datasets.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- VBA experience is valuable.
- Understanding of investment funds and fund accounting.
- Exposure to alternative investments, private credit or venture capital is beneficial.
- Process improvement expertise.
- Strong communication skills.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or progress toward one is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Review and control fund NAVs with third-party administrators.
- Challenge valuations, accruals, fees and other NAV components.
- Perform and oversee reconciliations of investments, cash, income and balance-sheet items.
- Track fund-level subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, FX and allocations.
- Process, monitor and control fund expenses.
- Support operational and accounting treatment of investments.
- Coordinate audit information and supporting documentation.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify inconsistencies and control issues.
- Improve fund-management platform workflows, controls and integrations.
- Build Excel and VBA controls, reconciliations and analytical tools.
- Automate, simplify and improve workflows.
- Strengthen fund-control documentation and controls.
