About Inference.net

Inference.net offers a suite of infrastructure products for AI-native teams, including Deploy (turn-key, globally distributed model hosting with high uptime), Observe (LLM observability with monitoring, tracing, and debugging tools), Trace (capturing agent LLM calls, tool calls, and framework steps), Train (custom model fine-tuning in days), Evaluate (rigorous benchmarking before production deployment), and HALO (open-source agent optimization). The platform hosts models such as GLM-5.2, Kimi K2.6, MiniMax-M2.5, and GPT-OSS 120B, and offers proprietary open-source models like ClipTagger and Schematron. Clients include engineering teams such as Cal AI and Gravity Ads, who use the platform to cut latency and costs while maintaining frontier-level model quality. The company is SOC 2 Type II compliant, indicating a focus on production-grade, enterprise-ready AI infrastructure.

Skills

About the Role

You'll own the user experience by designing, building, and polishing the dashboards, consoles, and customer-facing apps that let users observe, configure, and pay for inference at scale. You'll ship end-to-end features, going from a Figma wireframe to a React component to a backend API and database migration. You'll design a component system in React and Tailwind that supports rapid iteration and a cohesive design language. You'll optimize performance through SSR, code-splitting, hydration, and WebSocket-driven real-time updates that hold up under millions of requests per day. You'll collaborate across disciplines, working shoulder-to-shoulder with distributed-systems engineers, product designers, and founders to turn complex infrastructure into a delightful product. You'll also level up the team by leading design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and introducing best practices for testing, accessibility, and observability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building production React applications
  • Deep knowledge of Tailwind CSS & modern CSS architecture
  • Typescript mastery and strong fundamentals in JS/DOM/APIs
  • Experience designing REST/JSON or gRPC backends (Node, Go, or similar)
  • AuthN/AuthZ design (OIDC, JWT)
  • Product sense: care about UX details & accessibility
  • Experience with Tanstack / Next.js (nice-to-have)
  • Data-viz libraries (Recharts, Visx, D3) (nice-to-have)
  • tRPC experience (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with GPU or ML tooling dashboards (nice-to-have)
  • Comfort debugging perf issues (Lighthouse, Chrome DevTools) (nice-to-have)
  • Dev-ops chops: CI/CD, Docker, Terraform (nice-to-have)
