About the Role
You'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing Pearpop's platform, ensuring high-performance, scalable solutions that support creator-brand collaborations. You'll own the full development lifecycle, building RESTful APIs, integrating front-end and back-end systems, and implementing secure, data-driven features. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical excellence, mentor a small team of engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions. This role demands deep expertise in Node.js, React, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), along with a proactive mindset to innovate in the creator economy.
Requirements
- 7+ years in full-stack development, including 5+ years focused on Node.js and React or similar frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js frameworks such as Express
- Strong experience with React and dynamic responsive user interfaces
- Expertise designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Proficiency with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORMs such as Sequelize
- Deep knowledge of Git, GitHub, and branching strategies
- Extensive GCP and AWS experience plus Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code tools
- Experience implementing authentication systems such as Gravitee and OAuth
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred
- Passion for social media, internet culture, and the creator economy
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js and dynamic front-end interfaces using React
- Architect and implement robust RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end services, creator workflows, and brand integrations
- Partner with product managers, designers, and talent teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability using cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS
- Implement advanced security measures and data protection protocols to safeguard user and creator data
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and enforce best practices
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues across front-end and back-end systems
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization
- Stay ahead of trends in full-stack development, cloud technologies, and creator economy platforms
- Own critical projects from ideation to deployment and drive technical strategy
