About the Role
You will set the technical direction for Foundry and build scalable data infrastructure. You will lead architecture, pipelines, data models, security, governance, and integrations; mentor engineers; establish engineering standards; and deliver reliable data products and analytics capabilities.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise in Palantir Foundry, ontology modelling, pipeline development, data architecture, and platform design
- Technical leadership experience in a data engineering context
- Python proficiency
- Experience with Spark, PySpark, Dask, or pandas
- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, and Foundry Action APIs
- Experience with Git-based development workflows, code review, version control, and CI/CD
- Communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of the Foundry implementation
- Define the technical strategy and platform evolution
- Set engineering standards and drive architectural decisions
- Conduct code reviews and ensure engineering best practices
- Mentor engineers and analysts
- Build scalable data pipelines
- Define data models, schemas, and ontology structures
- Implement permissioning, access, and security
- Create trusted datasets and metrics
- Establish data contracts, documentation, and semantic layers
