Founding Blockchain Engineer

About the Role

You will work closely with senior technical leadership to define priorities, ship reliable systems, and maintain production-grade blockchain infrastructure. You will optimize services for speed, scale, security, and robustness, write well-tested code, perform code reviews, and own projects end-to-end. You will diagnose and resolve complex concurrency and networking issues, contribute to security-focused designs, and operate 24/7 real-time systems that protect Web3 users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Go and/or JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with lower-level blockchain technology including consensus, networking, MEV, and security
  • Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing
  • Knowledge of security-focused design and security engineering principles
  • Experience with unit testing, code review, and continuous integration
  • Preferred: Solidity development and building decentralized applications
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
  • Preferred: Experience acting as a technical lead and mentoring others
  • Preferred: Basic developer operations knowledge and software development life cycle

Responsibilities

  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with senior leadership
  • Optimize service infrastructure for speed, scale, security, and robustness
  • Write high-quality, unit-tested code and participate in code reviews
  • Own projects end-to-end and be accountable for delivery
  • Operate and maintain 24/7 real-time systems focused on security
  • Design and implement security-focused system architecture
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership and guidance
  • Collaborate on deployment pipelines and continuous integration
