About the Role
You will spend an initial three-month contract developing a proof of concept and implementation plan for a solution to an important problem. You will explore and refine project ideas, develop strategy, test key assumptions, build a prototype or initial research output, and prepare plans to develop the work into a new organisation, initiative, or role within an existing organisation. You will participate in regular calls and milestone check-ins, seek feedback, and may work with mentors and researchers on strategy, fundraising, operations, and organisational setup.
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong strategic judgement and the ability to scope under-defined problems
- Be motivated to work on high-impact problems
- Have experience founding, running, or scaling an organisation; a strong track record in a fast-moving mission-driven organisation; or exceptional early-career initiative, judgement, and commitment
- Be willing to develop and shape a project rather than pursue an already fully scoped project
- Prefer building solutions over primarily conducting research
Responsibilities
- Develop a proof of concept for a solution to an important problem
- Identify, evaluate, and refine potential project ideas
- Draft a strategy and implementation plan
- Test key assumptions and incorporate feedback
- Produce a prototype, research draft, or foundational organisational structures
- Participate in regular calls and milestone check-ins
- Build networks and explore cofounder opportunities
