About the Role
You will plan and execute ground and flight tests, coordinate test activities, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and document outcomes. You will support aircraft integration, safety reviews, range operations, maintenance, readiness, process improvement, and travel to field test sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- 5–10 years of experience in ground and flight test, aircraft systems, aircraft integration, or aerospace systems engineering
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, flight dynamics, avionics, telemetry, sensors, or control systems
- Ability to write and execute test plans, procedures, and reports
- Troubleshooting skills in field or laboratory environments
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to travel up to 80% for candidates outside the Wichita Metro Area
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute flight-test plans, procedures, risk assessments, and readiness reviews
- Support integration and testing of aircraft systems, payloads, data links, software, and mission equipment
- Lead pre-flight, flight, and post-flight activities
- Analyze ground and flight-test data for trends, anomalies, and corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering teams to validate requirements and troubleshoot issues
- Lead or support range operations, safety briefings, go/no-go decisions, and logistics
- Document test results, anomalies, lessons learned, and recommendations
- Support aircraft maintenance, configuration control, and readiness
- Improve flight-test processes, tools, and data workflows
- Maintain ground and air operating limitations
- Travel to test sites, customer locations, and field exercises
